Senior Network Engineer needed to gather network requirements by interviewing agencies, federal staff and other contractors. Will analyze data to determine elements of the network design, work with vendors, carriers, and other staff and team members to arrive at the final design using industry best practices. Produce presentations, engineering design guides, migration plan, NOC procedures and other documents as directed by management. Present design solution alternatives with cost-benefit trade off information along with supporting materials to CXOs and other senior management. Should follow established change procedures and implement the changes; validate and verify the proper functioning of the network and train and mentor other junior engineers in design, troubleshooting and maintenance activities. What You’ll Be Doing:
– Provide 24 hour support for network infrastructure in an on-call rotation
– Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure
– Configure Switches, Routers, Firewalls
– Troubleshoot issues as they arise
– Maintain up to date knowledge on new products and interoperability
– Provide usage metrics and make recommendations on network topologies

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Network Engineer who has experience with MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, and SONET network deployments. Engineer needs experience in data communications, including supporting the development and implementation of enterprise TCP/IP networks and support services, with particular focus on converged IP data, QOS, voice, and video networks.
