The senior-level candidate must be confident, communicate effectively, organized, test creatively, adapt to changing requirements, estimate work effort, and provide frequent status updates to the team lead. The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, but intense scrutiny, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
. Reviewing requirements for testability
. Writing, maintaining, and executing test cases based on requirements or use cases
. Coordinating Integration testing with another test team
. Implementing standard testing methods
. Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools as required to execute Test Plans
. Communicating with development teams to review and resolve defects
. Estimating test effort hours
. Conducting peer reviews of test cases
. Documenting defects
. Creating test plan/strategy and test reports
. Participating in review meetings for defect status, priority and information exchange
Requirements
. 3-5 years experience with software quality assurance
. 3-5 years experience developing in C/C++, Java, C#, Ruby (Object oriented design)
. Experience with writing SQL for backend testing
. XML, XSD, and XSLT usage in testing
. Web Services testing experience
. UNIX Knowledge
. Experience with standard testing methodologies and processes
. Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions
. Ability to do Code Reviews
. Full lifecycle project experience
. Defect tracking tool usage
. Test management tool usage
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills:
. Java or .C# Programming language (Object oriented design)
. QTP/Selenium test automation development and maintenance
. Load Runner or Similar Tools for Performance Testing
. DOORS or other requirements management tool.
. Quality Center or similar Test Management Tool.
. StarTeam or similar Version Control Tool
