AWS Cloud Administrator – Amazon Cloud Services, Nagios, NGINX

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Cloud Administrator to work alongside our web and application development team to support transition and operation of client web sites / applications in the Amazon Cloud.

Responsibilities include
•Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
•Migrating an existing on-premises application to AWS
•Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from AWS
•Selecting the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements
•Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices
•Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
• Communicates orally and in writing to high level public officials, as well as a variety of audiences. Produce weekly activity reports, oral presentations, briefings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), software development life-cycle (SDLC) documents and checklists, risk and issues logs and required artifacts.

Desired Experience/Education:
• Two or more years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applications
• Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS
• Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS
• Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project
• Experience scaling an application and/or its hosting environment to support increases in traffic.
• 5 – 7 Experience with Linux, Virtual Machines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with Nagios, NGINX

Some experience with – Drupal, MySQL, WordPress, Puppet
• High awareness of customer service
• Very Focused and Challenged
