Board of Advisors

The Board of Advisors was organized to provide expertise in the areas of interest and pursuit of the company. We are fortunate to have assembled experts in their fields and will call upon them freely to provide consultation and guidance to our staff.

Peter Kaminsky
Pete has more than thirty-five years in Technology staffing and contracting. He was employed nearly a decade with a major national software company where he progressed from Corporate Recruiting Manager to positions of responsibility in acquisitions and mergers, corporate development and marketing management.

In 1975, he and two partners founded The Consortium, a technical staffing company whose revenues grew to more than $35,000,000 per annum. The Consortium was sold to a NASDAQ listed company in 1996 with whom Pete remained for an additional five years as Senior Vice president.

In 2002, Pete became an advisor to The Consortium, a reincarnation of the original Consortium. He has a Bachelor of Science in Distributed Sciences from American University and graduate courses in Information technology.
Carlton M. Collins, III
Carlton has been an executive in the financial community for more than thirty-five years. During the past fifteen years, Carlton has been a Senior Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of Wheat First Securities and Wheat First Butcher Singer. He currently is a Senior Vice President of First Union Securities, a subsidiary of Wachovia Bank. Carlton, as a member of the Board of Advisors of The Consortium, Inc., provides a wealth of financial acumen to the company along with the availability for consultation for related assignments the company may undertake.
David L. Kaminsky, Ph.D.
David is employed by IBM as a Senior Software Engineer and Master Inventor. His primary areas of expertise are autonomic computing, internet technologies and distributed computing. David holds twenty patents and has numerous patents pending. He is a technical expert in intellectual property. David earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Yale University where his dissertation investigated parallel and distributed computing. In addition to his Ph.D., David earned M.S. and M.Phil. degrees in Computer Science from Yale and a B.A. with Distinction in Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
John Bartell, Ph.D.
John is an expert in DNA sequencing. He lead the first commercial DNA sequencing laboratory for identifying and characterizing microorganisms. He currently is involved in the DNA based identification of microorganisms in support of the clinical studies of antibiotics. John earned his Ph.D at the University of South Carolina where he studied gene expression in transgenic mice. His expertise in microbiology, molecular biology and DNA sequencing has resulted in numerous publications.
