Senior Integration Services Engineer w/ Microsoft SQL Server

The Sr. Integration Services Engineer will be responsible for the integration of mission-critical applications.  The engineer will work closely with various IT teams including but not limited to Data Center Services and Desktop Systems to architect, implement and maintain multiple applications.  Individual will also be responsible for the direct oversight of these applications’ integration points with the Microsoft Office suite and other third-party applications that are installed on the Windows 7 desktop environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for driving system integration and stability of applications in use.  This includes but is not limited to integrating records management system, Autonomy Records Manager (ARM), document management system, WorkSite, the Microsoft Office suite and other ancillary products such as Litera ChangePro, iScrub, Adobe Acrobat and Nuance PDF Converter.  This effort extends to both internal and remote access configurations and methodologies (i.e., Citrix, VPN, iPass).

Responsible for analyzing current and future business requirements that involve technological solutions (i.e, enterprise content management, e-mail management, e-records).  The Sr. Integration Services Engineer would subsequently work with the business owner, IT Department management and various IT teams to identify, test and implement a solution.  The solution could potentially be in the form of a new application or integration between existing applications.

Responsible for working closely with the Desktop Systems team to create, test, document, QA and implement future desktop and laptop-as-desktop environments.

Primary support of all aspects of the firm’s WorkSite implementation.  This includes ongoing maintenance, disaster recovery, upgrades, patches, the support of all back-end components and services, as well as the application’s integration within the desktop environment.

Primary support of all aspects of the firm’s Autonomy Records Manager) implementation.  This individual will work with the Director, Enterprise Applications and Central Records to oversee ongoing maintenance, disaster recovery, customizations, stability and subsequent upgrades of this application.  Support extends to full and web clients, as well as back-end server components and services.

Provide advanced level support to the User Support Center on WorkSite and ARM related issues and on issues whose root cause may be tied to the integration layer between applications.

Interface with vendor technical support to assist in problem resolution and general systems analysis.

Keep abreast of emerging technologies associated with the firm’s mission-critical applications. 

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years’ experience in IT or closely related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidate must possess the following skills:

2+ years of system integration experience.

3+ years of database administration and Microsoft SQL Server experience which includes but is not limited to an advanced understanding of client/server technology, database principles including management, optimization, security and workflow processes.

3+ years of experience implementing and supporting document management and records management systems, Autonomy’s WorkSite and ARM (including its predecessors) experience preferred. 

Excellent technical writing, organizational and communication skills, and strong orientation to a team environment. 

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

College degree preferred, but may substitute with relevant experience.
