LAMP Senior Web Developer/Architect & Technical Team Lead

The Project – Provide web content publishing, web development, architecture and design, 508 compliance, and IT security services for all DOJ internet and intranet web sites.

Specific Requirement:

The senior Web Developer and Architect is a technical expert on all aspects of web architecture, web site user interface design, web development, multimedia, social media (web 2.0), search, measurement, documentation, testing, implementation, configuration and change management. Architects, designs and develops the core system components of web sites and applications, is the lead developer and is experienced with tools and products including open source WordPress;  Adobe Media Server for serving flash media; Google Search Appliances; Google Analytics (Urchin); Version Control Systems; Content Management System (CMS) custom developed in Java/J2EE; Apache web server; ModSecurity application firewall; and Tomcat applications server software. Provides expertise in the selection and implementation of a new CMS (likely Drupal-based), or other supporting products. Ensures web sites and applications are tested and conform to established styles, are securely coded, and are compliant with section 508 of the ADA for accessibility. Is experienced in administering the web platform layered products for optimal performance and user experience. Resolves complex technical problems and difficult challenges. Creates and maintains database schemas for web applications. Assists with collecting information and preparing documents required in the Certification and Accreditation of systems. Liaises with the hosting provider for hardware and software issues that affect a website and its availability. Provides technical expertise in the selection of new products, and implements them. Clarifies and documents user requirements and estimates the level of effort and resources required. Serves as the onsite team lead, provides guidance to other team members, and assists with planning and scheduling.

* Technical web development using tools and platforms listed above * 50 percent
* Lead team of 5 web developers , directing, reviewing, and apportioning work assignments – 15 percent
* Client interface for web development * 15 percent
* Web site/system security – 10 percent
* 508 compliance * 10 percent

Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years experience, where applicable,  in each skill:
* Demonstrated deep web development skills on a Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) stack, using web and multimedia development and presentation tools to include but not limited to: HTML, CSS, PHP, CGI, XML/XSLT, JSP, JAVA, Java Script, Ajax, XHTML, Perl, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, Google search, and MySQL database. * +5 years
* Secure web site coding and dev practices – scan for security-related vulnerabilities using tools such as Cenzic Hailstorm and support Certification and Accreditation of sites and systems.  NIST 800-53 experience. * 2+ years
* Demonstrated technical team leadership skills and experience * will be leading a team of 5 developers. * 2+ years
* Development experience with 508 compliant systems. * 2+ years

Other Skills Desired, Years in each skill, where applicable:
1+ years with any of the following:  WordPress;  Adobe Media Server; Google Search Appliances; Google Analytics (Urchin); Version Control Systems; Content Management Systems (CMS); Apache web server; ModSecurity application firewall; and Tomcat applications server software.

**Any certifications related to NIST 800-53 would be ideal.**
