This position will oversee and actively provide technical support for operations and environment support aspects of the Enterprise Batch Scheduling infrastructure which serves customers, engineering staff, user-support personnel and others in the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Designs, implements, customize, maintain and administer enterprise batch schedules.
Performs daily oversight of all enterprise batch schedules. Monitors performance and perform problem determination.
Performs Incident resolution, Problem Determination and Root Cause Analysis.
Oversees installations, monitoring and managing of all enterprise batch schedules.
Implements security model to prevent unauthorized access to system and reports any violations.
Monitors and tunes system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Continually investigates and introduces process improvement measures and presents suggestions to Director of Operations Center and others for consideration.
Evaluates industry trends, standards and new technologies to recommend change
Interacts regularly with Metrics team, developers, engineers, and the IT outsourcer to ensure the Company’s Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) metrics are sustained and improved from current level.
Develops and directs enhancement of job monitoring, reporting, error handling and recovery to ensure customer satisfaction, improved operational efficiency, and improved employee technical knowledge and training.
In conjunction with Internal Audit (IA), ensures business objectives and risks are effectively managed.
Develop a relationship with business unit customers based on understanding their needs and partnering on developing solutions.
Partner with project technical leads to ensure technology solution and staff are in line with customer expectations and overall technology vision and goals
Coordinate with external project teams / resources, as needed.
Frequently communicate progress and issues.
Ensure compliance with standard practices, processes and enterprise standards.
Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
2 – 4 years of hands-on experience as a Enterprise Batch Tool Administrator, with a specific concentration in Autosys
2 – 3 years of experience in a production data center
Passionate for delivering products and/or platforms and not one-off projects
Demonstrated ability to delivery projects of high complexity and risk.
